General comments
Behandeling geindiceerd bij:
- kort bestaande ziekte
- immuungecompromitteerden
- ernstige infecties
- nervus ophthalmicus
- meerdere dermatomen.
Nervus ophthalmicus: start bij voorkeur iv en overweeg toevoegen aciclovir oogzalf 3% 5 dd topicaal. Het nut van aciclovir oogzalf is echter niet bewezen.
