General comments

Meldingsplichtige ziekte groep B2.

Denk bij intraveneuze antibiotische therapie >3 dagen aan de mogelijkheid van thuisbehandeling (zie iPortal protocol: OPAT, antibiotica infuustherapie voor thuis).

Bij bepaalde groepen, o.a. alle mensen die werken in de voedselbereiding en zorgmedewerkers, dienen na therapie controle faeceskweken afgenomen te worden, ten minste 3 weken na de laatste koortsdag en ten minste 2 weken na het beëindigen van de antibiotische therapie. Zie verder LCI richtlijn.
