General comments
Bij intermediaire gevoeligheid of resistentie voor penicilline: overleg met arts-microbioloog
Meldingsplichtige ziekte groep C bij personen geboren vanaf 2006 en per 1 april 2021 bij personen van 60 jaar of ouder.
Altijd dexamethason iv 10 mg 4dd 4 dagen.
Denk bij intraveneuze antibiotische therapie >3 dagen aan de mogelijkheid van thuisbehandeling (zie iPortal protocol: OPAT, antibiotica infuustherapie voor thuis).
