Drainage en kweek zijn belangrijk.
Na klinische verbetering en adequate drainage overweeg switch naar augmentin po 625 mg 3dd of clindamycine po 600 mg 3dd o.b.v. kweek resultaat.
Denk bij intraveneuze antibiotische therapie >3 dagen aan de mogelijkheid van thuisbehandeling (zie iPortal protocol: OPAT, antibiotica infuustherapie voor thuis).
