General comments
De duur van de (totale) behandeling is, in verband met lokale ervaring met H.influenzae, standaard op 10 dagen gesteld.
Cefuroxim alleen bij niet IgE-gemedieerde peniciliine allergie.
Denk bij intraveneuze antibiotische therapie >3 dagen aan de mogelijkheid van thuisbehandeling (zie iPortal protocol: OPAT, antibiotica infuustherapie voor thuis).
