ceftriaxon iv 2000mg 2dd

metronidazol iv 500mg 3dd

General comments

  • Bij positieve kweek therapie aanpassen
  • Bij chronisch otogeen focus denk aan mogelijkheid Pseudomonas
  • Therapieduur afhankelijk van beeldvorming, maar minimaal 6 weken
  • Indien abces(sen) > 2,5 cm: streven naar drainage/excisie
  • Indien geen drainage/excisie mogelijk: 12 weken iv behandeling soms noodzakelijk (afhankelijk van grootte abces).
  • Bij metronidazol > 2 weken: cave neurotoxiciteit.
  • Denk bij intraveneuze antibiotische therapie >3 dagen aan de mogelijkheid van thuisbehandeling (zie iPortal protocol: OPAT, antibiotica infuustherapie voor thuis).
