General comments
In geval van sepsis en een acuut gestoorde nierfunctie heeft het de sterke voorkeur om op dag 1, ondanks deze gestoorde nierfunctie, de volledige dosis antibiotica te geven.
Duur afhankelijk van het focus van de infectie.
Denk bij intraveneuze antibiotische therapie >3 dagen aan de mogelijkheid van thuisbehandeling (zie iPortal protocol: OPAT, antibiotica infuustherapie voor thuis).
