Bij bewezen gevoeligheid is switch naar amoxicilline 12g/dag mogelijk.
Denk bij intraveneuze antibiotische therapie >3 dagen aan de mogelijkheid van thuisbehandeling (zie iPortal protocol: OPAT, antibiotica infuustherapie voor thuis).
